Doohickey's Dies

I love these dies! The largest flower in the flower doily doesn't cut real great w/out passing it through a few times but I can deal with that...have any of you tried putting foam on them, like the Quickutz dies? I just wonder if that would help the cut come out of the die??? Some of them are just great...like the Tilda lace.. I just knock it against the side of the trash can and they pretty much all fall out! LOVE that! lol

a friend told me at stamp club yesterday to try wax paper in the doily flower dies, so I need to do that!

My order from ATS came today with the new dies and I've cut one, the rose leaf trio... oh my, it is gorgeous! I love it!!! lol
I'll cut the rest and post the sizes tomorrow on my blog.

Hi Pam, I also have some more Magnolia dies and all of them cut fantastic also my biggest doily flower. I only tried the QuicKutz foam once on the vintage tag but removed it, because the cutting plates embossed too much pattern on my cardstock and I didn't like the result. I use a needle to get the cuts out of my shapes Smile

thx Jay Jay - great to know! I've just been noticing that some companies are coming out with a metal plate to match up to the die that knocks the waste out ...hmmm... I need to find that again... can't remember if that was to clean up the actual die cut or to clean out the die! lol

Pam, did you order all new DooHickey's? I guess you did *lol*.

I didn't order yet but I think it will be the new heart swirl and magnolia tree (3 in one!) dies. Maybe I will also order the tags later this year. Like them, too! At the moment I have to pull myself together because Sven and I will marry in August.
